Want Some Modern Looking Open Shelving In Your Home?
The hardest part of this project is finding solid wood in the ceiling to install the screw eyes into.
That is a 3 foot wide shelf shown in the picture. You could go 6 feet wide by adding a third set of chains.
If you are putting books on the shelf fou could put a couple of more bolts through the chain to act as book ends.
I'd use nylon locknuts on the threaded rods to make sure the nuts didn't come loose.
Those are electrical wire straps under the shelves to hold the threaded rod in place.
