A Sharp Chisel Is A Real Pleasure To Use

There are several different method that can be used for sharpening your tools. Before water stones became so popular most of us old timers use oil stones. You'd usually use a combination medium and fine stone for day to day sharpening and if you wanted a really polished finish you'd end with a hard Arkansas stone.

I also use one of those 1″ belt grinder/sharpening machines and they work quite well too.
