This video series is going to show you how to make louvered blinds from scratch step by step.

These blinds are to be installed on the inside of the windows and are being made out of common 2 x 4 spruce or pine.

Since the pieces required are relatively short it is easy to find sections of the 2 x 4's that are relatively knot free.

If these blinds were to go outside in the weather you'd probably want to consider using a more rot resistant wood such as cedar.
