There Are Several Water Sources You Are Not Allowed To Drain Into The Sanitary Sewer System

Sources such as sump pumps, eaves trough down spouts, collection points such as window wells or surface water from rain.

A dry well may be the answer for these water disposal problem areas.

It's interesting that this method is not just reserved for residential projects. When I built some buildings in the Town of Canmore the downtown area had no storm sewers. They used dry wells to get rid of surface water.  That was a special situation though, under the town 6 to 10 feet deep there was a huge bed of washed rock through which the ground water flowed (an under ground river). But the dry wells were build in a similar way, except on a bigger scale tho what you will discover in this video.
