Sure you can use those fancy new building wraps that are so common now a days, but don't overlook the age old proven and tested tar paper.

Tar paper has been used for a hundred years and has proven itself. The other thing I like about tar paper is that it is not a perfect air seal. If any moisture should happen to get behind it, that moisture is not sealed in, it can dry out. Usually before anything gets rotten or moldy.
