Do you have wished you had a pocket door for a room entrance which has no door?

I came across these photo today which could solve that situation.

But first let's back up and look at the problems of adding a pocket door.  It's messy – you need to open up the wall do some framing, drywall work, taping and painting. But you may find stuff (pipes. electric circuits or structural posts)  in the wall preventing you from putting in a pocket door. You may not have the width for the pocket etc.

So have a look at these pictures. These surface mounted solutions may just work for you.
