How To Make A Bunk Bed With 2×4 and 2×6 Lumber.

This is not a heirloom quality project. It is a practical inexpensive way to make a bunk bed with materials available at any lumber provider.

The design could be modified to suit your needs. It would be easy to add a guard rail to the top bunk.

You might want to add another 2×4 to the ends and make the ladder steps a little closer together.

If your kids are really rambunctious you could actually fasten the bunk to the wall for complete stability and so on.

You could also use a router round over bit to get a consistent radius on all the corners of the lumber.
