Here are the steps to getting an excellent paint job.

• Mask as required. If you paint like me this is essential.

• Cut in the edges. The obvious first paint on the wall.

• Roll the wall. It's not as simple as you might believe.

• Add a second coat if required. It usually is unless you are repainting with the same color.

• Remove the masking. Cleanup fun.
