Creating A Fixed Eye In Amsteel Blue Rope

The process is the same for any diameter Amsteel Blue other than different bury lengths. 5/16 would be 13″, 3/8 would be 16″, 7/16 would be 18.5″. I have tested this extensively using half of each suggested bury length in a locked brummel and all have held while the failure occurs in the line. I would suggest replacing the whipping with the lock stich, or performing a locked brummel when you return from your trip.
