Have You Noticed? Chopping Block Design Is Changing

Chopping blocks have been around ever since man started chopping wood. So it's hard to believe that the design could be vastly improved.

Chopping blocks – whats special about them? They need to be heavy, immovable  and not bounce when struck. They need to be made out of a material which will not dull an ax or maul. A stump or big log cut off used to serve this purpose effectively. That's what was used for millennium.

What was missing? Not until recently did someone com up with the bright idea to add something to corral the wood being split so you wouldn't have to go chase it and bend over and pick it up. Splitting wood in a tire is a real innovation in chopping block design.
